Centre for Global Wood Security

I am a postdoctoral researcher at the Centre of Global Wood Security. My PhD was based at Sichuan University, China, focusing on how photosynthetic carbon assimilation drives phenological shifts (spring leaf-out, autumn senescence) in Northern Hemisphere forests under warming climates. I am broadly interested inspecies distribution dynamics and zoonotic disease risks. I developed methods to created risk assessment frameworks for avian influenza hotspots using entropy-based modeling. My current work focuses on the threat of pests and diseases to forests and the ecosystem services they provide, including timber, carbon, and biodiversity.
