I am an Associate Scientist in the Center for Natural Climate Solutions at Conservation International. My background is in applied tropical forest ecology, completing my PhD at the University of Sheffield in 2022 on the restoration of selectively logged tropical forests in Malaysia.
My research focusses on developing novel and globally scalable silvicultural interventions to restore logged tropical forests and remove atmospheric CO2. Through generation of carbon credits, such interventions aim to leverage private investment to support the restoration of forests and mitigate climate change. Currently, my focus is on piloting a restoration treatment in forestry concessions across Peru, Brasil, and Indonesia. I am also working closely with Remote Sensing experts to develop highly accurate carbon Monitoring Reporting and Verification tools.
