I am anĀ Associate Professor at the University of Florida and Co-Director of the Florida Climate Institute. My research spans climate change biology, conservation, and forest ecology, with a particular focus on how species and ecosystems respond to climate stressors and human land-use from tropical to temperate ecosystems. My work integrates field ecology, landscape connectivity, and policy-relevant science, and I strive to forge collaborations with diverse agency partners to enhance wildlife management and reduce biodiversity loss. Other current research includes the global trade of animals and plants and its implications for conservation and invasive species dynamics. Through interdisciplinary and applied research, I hope to contribute to sustainable forest management.
