About
I am a tropical forest ecologist and orchidologist, with a PhD from Imperial College London. I took up a Senior Research Fellowship in 2026 at the Darwin-Hamied Centre for Biodiversity at Christ's College, University of Cambridge, having worked as a post-doctoral researcher with Prof Edwards since 2019 based first at the University of Sheffield and then at the University of Cambridge. My research combines rigorous fieldwork, probabilistic modeling, and GIS tools to investigate the causes and consequences of deforestation and forest fragmentation on Neotropical biodiversity, using orchids as a model group. I'm passionate about climbing trees and engaging in knowledge exchange with rural communities and local governmental agencies to support science-based conservation efforts.
